Boardmasters

Boardmasters began in 1981 as an international surf competition on Cornwall’s iconic coastline, rooted in a love of the ocean and surf culture. Over time, it has grown into a unique surf and music festival that celebrates community, creativity, and the beach lifestyle, with sustainability at the heart of its ethos from the very beginning.

We were commissioned to design and build a striking entrance archway that reflected this spirit while reinforcing the festival’s “leave no trace” message. Starting from the client’s concept drawings, we developed a practical design that stayed true to the aesthetic while carefully considering materials and structural safety. Once approved, we fabricated and dry-fitted the archway in our workshop before installing it on site.
