English Heritage: Contrasting Lives
Caring for over a million objects and hundreds of historic sites across England, English
Heritage shares stories and creates opportunities to play, learn, and create—helping
communities connect, celebrate the past, and inspire positive change.
Contrasting Lives is a site-specific installation by artist Keith Harrison, commissioned by
English Heritage and produced by Susanne Heath. We were appointed as principal designer
and contractor to bring Keith’s concept to life at the stunning Witley Court and Gardens in
Greater Witley.
From initial site visits and consultations to technical drawings and construction planning, we
worked closely to shape the project’s practical direction. Our team then handled fabrication
and installation, translating the artistic vision into a fully realised, site-responsive structure.
Working on a protected historic site presented unique challenges, but through a careful,
hands-on approach, we helped deliver a powerful and thoughtful artwork that is deeply
rooted in its surroundings.
